Donner Lake

What a perfect day it was for the beach. I got up early and packed up the car. I loaded beach toys, towels, sunblock, food, the potty seat, the wagon, blankets wipes, hand sanitizer and drinks. Was that all. Oh yeah I forgot the kitchen sink. Well it seems like I pack everything when I go anywhere. It was a mission getting everything to the beach from the gate but we made it. I picked up another friend Meghan and her daughter Elle who is four. We met them at swim class and Elle plays very well with Pravan and Priyasha. Candice was going to come to the beach and meet us there. It was a blast hanging out with all the kids and they had a great time. Being with other moms made it easier to watch the kids. It seemed like one of us was always making a trip to the bathroom with one of the kids. Just a phase with the younger ones I suppose. Well it was a long and enjoyable day. The summer almost seems over and this was my first trip to the beach. Oh yes almost forgot to mention I packed my cell phone and the camera. But I guess you already know that I am never without either of those twe gadgets. I would take my laptop with me if possible. Just kidding. ( No I'm not ) I will upload some pics when the kids are in bed and you can see my slide show. The beach is a great place to be. I grew up on the east coast in South Africa and I was about 10km away from the beach. I practically grew up on the ocean. The smell of the seabreeze is refreshing and you can almost taste the salt. The Indian ocean is spectacular. The only fear would be the sharks lurking the waters but citizens safety is taken care of with the use of shark nets. I love the sand in my toes and enjoying building sandcastles. The kids enjoyed themselves too as I am the biggest kid and played right along with them when I was not behind my lens. Hope you are having a great summer as well.
